Church Island at Hearthstone

Church Island is a beautiful island in the middle of Squam Lake and is home to a seasonal outdoor ecumenical church. This room is named in honor of both the island and the set of antique canopied nun’s beds which came from a convent in France. Originally these twin beds were housed in a large room where rows of them lined either side of the sleeping quarters.

This sunny room overlooks the front lawns and apple orchard and also includes a rocking chair, two comfortable reading chairs and through the private bath, a view of the back lawn, lake and mountains. This room is a perfect compliment to those traveling either alone, with a companion or for those who may need accommodations for additional family members.
