Hiking trails emanating on the property connect with a network of extensive trails through conservation areas around Squam Lake. Whether you prefer Squam Lake or Lake Winnipesaukee, both lakes offer boating, swimming and guided tours of the lake.

With spectacular views of the Squam Mountain Range, hikers have trails on the property which connect with the conservation lands and the Audubon Sanctuary abutting the property. For more adventurous hikers, the Appalachian Trail and White Mountains are within 45 minutes.

Center Harbor and its neighboring communities offer numerous fine restaurants, antiquing, summer fairs and theatre as well as local attractions and activities. A calendar of events may be found in the library.
